WSJ: iPad Mini to Enter Production in September

Rumors of an iPad Mini have been around for a while now and we’d expect them to pick up steam again now that Google has its budget tablet out there. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Apple suppliers are scheduled to begin mass production of the mythical tablet in September. According to “people familiar with the matter,” the tablet will have a display smaller than 8-inches and “a launch for the device is near.”
The displays will reportedly be made by LG and AU Optronics. The iPad Mini will supposedly cost $249 for the base model and increase to $299 for more storage.
