Ville C Released in Taiwan – Still Called the ‘One S’

We leaked the initial information about the HTC Ville C in the middle of May, and now it has been revealed in HTC’s own country. It is still being called the HTC One S, but it isn’t equipped with the same processor we have seen in the rest. The source who leaked the specs to us of the Ville C informed me it “looks like Qualcomm can’t produce enough S4 processors.” This may very well be the case since nearly every new 4G LTE device is launching with it installed.
However, even with the 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm S3 processor, the Ville C still out performs the Galaxy Note in benchmarks. AnTuTu scored the device at 7234 and 7182, well above every other device listed. Even the severely outdated Adreno 220 was able to produce 51.1 FPS in Nenamark2.
The device is launching in two colors, black and gray. Everything about the phone, besides the CPU/GPU, is the exact same as the One S. So the “ultra-thin” profile did stick around, listed at 7.8mm thin.
