Verizon Droid X Teaser Analysis
Filed under Reviews by Kenneth Pennington on June 21, 2010 at 3:39 PMJust days after Engadget’s mini review of the Motorola Droid X, Verizon Wireless has concocted and released a stunning new Droid X video with the classic red-mechanical Droid theme. The video is a frame-by-frame subliminal-type ad campaign with hidden Easter eggs. Check out the video below, and then see our shot by shot analysis.
Analysis
The first noticeable Easter egg is the “DroidLanding” Twitter flash. It looks like unreadable text, but when slowed down and flipped horizontally, the picture becomes clear.

DroidLanding Twitter
This references a Twitter account made by Verizon called DroidLanding.
After that, we see a quick flash of the text: 4.3″ WVGA Screen.

Then, a reference to the Verizon “Droid Does” branding:

And a reference to the Droid X’s HDMI Output through micro-HDMI…

A flash of “8MP Camera” to confirm the 8 megapixel camera on the Droid X.

And two release date shots. One says just July 2010 while the other seems to replicate the “2″ in 2010. But, this could be a sign of a July 2, 2010 release. A July 2nd release would be fairly reasonable considering the amount of Friday releases we see in the mobile phone world.
