Maybe you are already addicted to your phone, or maybe you are one of those people that forgets their phone all the time because it actually doesn’t have a hold on you. However, it kind of should. There are a ton of things that you can do with your phone, and if you don’t have it with you, it won’t do you any good.

Your phone is a lifeline. It can get you out of bad situations, of all kinds, and it can help you better your life. Here are some things you should be using it for on a daily basis.

Fighting Addiction

Your phone can help you fight addiction. Not only can you use it to look up information from addiction clinics, but you can also find apps that will help you out in many ways.

There are apps that can point you to AA and NA meetings. Sometimes you need someone to talk to even when you aren’t near your own stomping grounds, your smartphone can help you. You can also use it as a distraction, use it to reach out to your sponsor, and even use it to reach out to your friends.

Relieving Stress

Use your phone to relieve your stress. You can download stress relief apps, ones that have meditations, yoga moves, and more. You can even listen to guided meditations through YouTube, on your phone.

There are games on smartphones that can also help with relaxation. Zen Koi is an excellent option. The game-play is simple with no timers, and it has relaxing background music.

Staying In Touch

Your phone allows you to stay in constant contact (which can be both a good and a bad thing). The good thing about it is that your smartphone makes it so that you can do work on the road, from home, or even on vacation (if you want to waste vacation time on work). You can talk on your phone, text, email, or even communicate with social media.

In Case Of Emergency

Your phone is also a tool for emergencies. It used to be that if you broke down on the side of the road, or had an accident, you’d have to hope someone came by and went to a house down the road to call emergency services. Now your smartphone can help, and in some areas, you can even text 911.

Getting Where You Need To Go

Lastly, your phone is its own GPS system. Whether you’re walking or driving it can help you get to where you are going. Use your smartphone to search for restaurants and stores nearby as well. Plus, you can find apps to give you discounts and even ones to help you find the cheapest gas prices.
