Google Maps 6.5

Google Maps 6.5 has been released today giving Android users a better navigation experience. The update brings a new Navigation home screen if you’re running Android 4.0, which makes it easier to enter a new destination just by swiping. Google Maps is now also making use of those high resolution screens found on newer devices such as the Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy S II, by loading higher resolution map titles. As a result the maps will not only look better but also make it easier to read since map labels are also less clustered.

The new Google Maps 6.5 also has some changes for navigating through public transportation, allowing you save your preferred traveling method and route options.

Not only did Google update their Maps android app, but they also redesigned their Google Maps Youtube page which is sporting 12 new videos released today.
