Toshiba Unboxes their Thrive Tablet, Redefines What it Means to Unbox
Filed under News by Coty Spence on June 28, 2011 at 8:37 AMIf you frequently watch tech videos on sites like YouTube, you probably know how stale and unoriginal unboxing videos can be at times. Well today, Toshiba posted an unboxing of their upcoming Thrive tablet up on YouTube. The video starts out pretty normal with a guy sitting there introducing the product. After about 25 seconds or so, Toshiba redefines what it means to unbox something. No joke, I just became very interested in the product from this video alone. We’re not going to spoil anything for you, just hit the break for the video and some specs! Oh, and don’t blame us when your mind gets blown.
The Toshiba Thrive will hit retail stores this July beginning at $429.99 for the 8GB model. That may not sound like much space, but with a Micro SD Card thrown in there you can easily double that. Specs wise, the Thrive is no slouch either:
- Android 3.1 Honeycomb
- 1 GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor
- 10.1-inch LED screen with a WXGA 1280×800 resolution
- 1 GB of RAM
- 5 MP rear-facing camera and 2 MP front-facing camera
- 720p video recording
- SD card slot
- USB and mini-USB ports
- HDMI port
Okay, okay, you guys probably just want to see the video already! Here it is! Let us know how blown your mind is down below in the comments.
