Even though quad-core is the next big thing and Samsung has openly announced their Exynos 4412 chipset, there's still a lot of room to improve on dual-core designs. Texas Instruments: Chip Demand Rising; We’re Closing Factories in Texas and Japan

Texas Instruments reported some pretty respectable chip sales for the end of 2012, with shares rising 3.4% late on Monday the 23rd. The company said it'll see continued rises in demand in January over December. CFO Kevin March reportedly said, "We think our customers have reached a point where their (inventory) numbers were extremely lean."
