Samsung’s TouchWiz interface is a cool mix of some useful and some not-so-useful additions and changes to the Android 2.1 Eclair platform. If you’re the kind of user who dislikes Samsung’s lock screen on your Galaxy S, Captivate, or Vibrant phone, you’ll like this latest modification from developers. The modification allows you to replace the TouchWiz lock screen with a stock Android lock screen experience. All that’s required to make the change is a compatible device with the right firmware.

Credits for the lock screen replacement modification go to: Ateisti (Galaxy S i9000), l7777 (Captivate), and eugene373 (Vibrant).

If you have a Galaxy S I9000, you can change your lock screen by referring to this post.

If you have a Captivate SGH-I897, you can change your lock screen by referring to this post.

If you have a Vibrant SGH-T959, you can change your lock screen by referring to this post.
