Samsung has announced that it will be holding a press conference on August 15th. During this event, the company says there will be a  ”major announcement and unveiling of the newest Galaxy device.” The event will kick-off at 10:00 a.m. EST.

There’s several things this could be. We’ve yet to see the Galaxy Note 10.1, which was announced at Mobile World Congress. It is also highly likely that it is the Galaxy Note II. Some people also think it could be a Windows Phone 8 device. That seems unlikely though, as Samsung’s Windows Phone devices generally do not carry the Galaxy branding. It could be possible that Samsung wants to kickstart sales of Windows devices by attaching it to the already known and successful Galaxy brand.

  1. I would hope for the Note 2.. Although with the first one just being released for Tmobile… It seems doubtful, That they would Shoot that launch down with a new product now
