New Prepaid Plans for U.S. Cellular Launching Today

U.S. Cellular announced today new prepaid plans that will go effective immediately. The new plans allow for smartphones and featured devices to be used on the network, including the Samsung Galaxy S II, but are limited to the non-LTE devices. The smartphone prepaid plan is $65 per month with only 2GB of data usage. Surely not the cheapest prepaid plans, but it does allow for roaming at no additional charge. Here is the full breakdown of the new prepaid plans now available on U.S. Cellular:
New prepaid plan options include:
- Nationwide unlimited voice, unlimited messaging, 2GB smartphone data – $65/month
- Nationwide unlimited voice, unlimited messaging, 1GB feature data – $50/month
- Nationwide 400 minutes voice, 400 text messages, 400 picture messages – $35/month
Prepaid device options include:
- Android-powered smartphones: Samsung Galaxy S II, Motorola ELECTRIFY, HTC Merge, Samsung Mesmerize, Huawei Ascend II, HTC Wildfire S, and Samsung Repp
- Messaging phones: Pantech Verse, Samsung Character, LG Saber, Samsung Freeform 4, Pantech CDM8635US, and Samsung Chrono 2
