New iPad to be Released This Summer?

According to a new report from DigiTimes, Apple will supposedly launch a new iPad this summer. The new device will not be the rumored iPad mini, but rather the same 9.7-inch device we’ve seen for the past three years, but with a new indium gallium zinc oxide panel. That means that the device can be thinner and offer better battery life. The screen will be made by Sharp. 60-70% of current iPad screens are made by Samsung, while the rest are made by LG.
One thing to note is that DigiTimes has not been the most reliable source in the past, so this should be taken with a grain of salt.
