Two days ago, we received a first glimpse at the LG LS860 “Cayenne” coming soon to Sprint. We didn’t know too much about the device, but we assumed it was essentially the LG Viper with a 5-row QWERTY keyboard. Now we have another image of the rear-side of the device showing off a 1700 mAh battery, 5-megapixel camera, and Near Field Communications. That isn’t the biggest news of all.

Our source also provided a screenshot of some hardware specs for the LS860. It lists the device will be equipped with the Qualcomm MSM8960 chipset, otherwise known as the 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor. This is the same processor that the One X and EVO 4G LTE sport. Now we are looking indeed looking at high-end QWERTYboard device.
On top of the S4 CPU, the LS860 will also have 1GB of LPDDR2 RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a 4-inch WVGA IPS display, VGA front-facing camera, and Sprint 4G LTE capabilities. The device will also be 12.2mm thick, which is very slim for a QWERTY keyboard device. The same source also informed us that the Cayenne is reportedly slated to release in the 3rd quarter of this year.
I loved my Samsung Epic 4G because of its keyboard, but Sprint has failed to produce a viable replacement for it. LG may be the next best thing for the physical keyboard lovers like myself. Now with confirmation of the S4 processor, I am now switching my views of what device I’ll could be purchasing in the future.

Man these specs promise a real good qwerty phone. (800×480 is a bit of a letdown, but hell rather 800×480 with IPS then higher resolution with shitty qHD PenTile Amoled)
Hopefully LG will also release it in Europe, if so it’ll probably be the replacement for my Desire Z
