Motorola Droid HD Leaked, First 720p Resolution Phone?
Filed under Rumors by Coty Spence on June 29, 2011 at 4:34 PMUh oh Motorola, what’s this? Someone at the company slipped up and leaked some data which happens to contain the name of an unknown device: the Motorola Droid HD. The Flickr image also says the image was taken in Libertyville, Illinois. Ironically, Motorola has a campus right in that city.
The name Motorola Droid HD is important for a few reasons. Firstly, Motorola wouldn’t smack the suffix “HD” on this device if it only had a qHD display. After all, they already have two phones with qHD resolution displays: the Atrix and Droid X2. It is very possible that the Motorola Droid HD will feature a 720p resolution display.
Second, we recently wrote about the latest developments pertaining to the next Google Nexus device. As rumors have stated, Google will be releasing a new Nexus device with Android Ice Cream Sandwich later this year. Interestingly, the rumors also say each carrier in the United States will be getting their own flagship Ice Cream Sandwich device, in conjunction with the next Nexus phone. Is it possible that the Motorola Droid HD will be Verizon’s flagship Android Ice Cream superphone? Sure seems like it!
As always, BriefMobile will keep you posted with the latest developments on this topic. Stay tuned!
