Motorola updated its device software upgrade webpage and as you would expect, it disappointed many. The Atrix 4G and Atrix 2′s Ice Cream Sandwich ETA now say “further plans coming soon,” while they were previously slated to be updated in Q3. The Xyboard 8.2 and XOOM family edition dates have slipped to sometime in Q4, as has the Droid Bionic’s.

Quite honestly, this Motorola being Motorola. They have never been all the good at updating devices to the latest operating system. It’s kind of disappointing, especially when you consider that the Atrix 2 was released less than a year ago.

Has your Motorola device received Ice Cream Sandwich yet?

Motorola actually did surprisingly well with their flagship Atrix two years back (in my opinion) for the first year it was out. But still, I am not surprised.

  4. The Photon 4G status changed too, it appears to not even be receiving ICS anymore
