Motorola and Verizon to Announce DROID RAZR HD at September 5th Event?

Motorola and Verizon are holding an event on September 5th in New York City at 2:00 PM. The two companies, which have close ties dating back to the original launches of the Motorola RAZR, Droid, and Droid RAZR, will very likely launch the DROID RAZR HD.

If the tipsters are correct, the RAZR HD is a device similarly-specced to the Atrix HD on AT&T. It’ll come preloaded with a 4.5-inch ColorBoost HD display, Android 4.0, a 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, and the new Moto KEVLAR® look. Other rumors indicate that there may be a MAXX variant of the device with a thicker, but juicier, battery.

We’ll just have to wait and see what happens on September 5th.
