LG Optimus 2X vs Google Nexus S
OK, fine… It may not exactly be faster than the speed of light (Einstein and Lorentz need not turn in their graves), but it’s quite impressive nonetheless. Detailed results after the break.
Earlier we brought you a closer look at the 3D performance of the Tegra 2 in the Droid Bionic while running the Quadrant Benchmark, but we felt that either the higher resolution or immature drivers were holding it back. Turns out at least one of those is true, as the LG Optimus 2x (which uses the standard WVGA resolution) fared much better in benchmarks.

- LG Optimus 2X vs Nexus S, Smartbench 2010
- LG Optimus 2X vs Google Nexus S
These scores really are quite fast, beating the stock Nexus S across the board in both CPU and GPU speed. And while people have broken 4000 in Quadrant on a heavily overclocked Nexus S, and yours truly has scored considerably higher in Smartbench 2010; the 3D performance of the Nvidia Tegra 2 seems to be much higher than on the Samsung Hummingbird when the resolution is kept the same between devices, at least when comparing unmodified devices.
