HTC Ville Renders
It’s been highly rumored for the past few months that HTC would finally release a thin handset, currently being dubbed the HTC Ville. Needless to say, the device just got caught on camera and shows us a glimpse into the future of HTC smartphones.
As a quick recap, the HTC Ville is reported to have a 4.3 Inch qHD Super AMOLED Display, Android 4.0, Sense 4.0, 1.5Ghz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 8MP camera, 1650mAh battery, HSPA+ connectivity, and Beats Audio support all within a chassis less than 8mm thick. It’s also highly rumored to make way to T-Mobile’s network in the US.
The video does a good job of showing us all the new stuff HTC has thrown in. The phone looks freakishly thin but still retains HTC’s signature metal build quality. Furthermore we get our first glimpse at HTC Sense 4.0 designed on top of Android 4.0 which introduces a lot of new UI/design tweaks and over-the-top animations. A decent amount of lag can be seen in the video but as this is likely pre-production software, we’ll give HTC time to spruce that up.
The HTC Ville is highly rumored to be unveiled next month at the Mobile World Congress. It will be one of the first phones to feature the new Snapdragon S4 processor which finally ditches the old Scorpion architecture and brings forth Krait. The Krait architecture, along with the Adreno 225 GPU, is expected to bring at least a 50% increase to performance around the board.
