HTC CEO: ‘Multiple Areas’ Need Improvement

HTC’s CEO Peter Chou let his staff know in a memo uncovered by the Wall Street Journal that there are “multiple areas” within the company that need improvement. In 2012, the manufacturer re-purposed itself, dedicating its efforts to a single device series. But, the change in strategy didn’t bring the sales figures HTC wanted to see. In the memo, Chou places a deal of confidence in the company, saying that the problems it faces are “short-term.” He says “we are coming back,” at the end.
