How To: Install FC09 for the Epic 4G

- Download and unzip SPH-D700-FC09-8Gb-REL.tar.md5.zip: Mirror 1 | Mirror 2
- Download, extract, and install the Epic 4G drivers
- Download and extract Odin3_v1.87.zip
- Download victory_8G_100528.pit
- Open “Odin3_v1.87.exe”
- Power off the Epic 4G
- Put the Epic 4G into “Download Mode” by holding the 1 key and the Power button
- Connect the Epic 4G to your computer. Ensure Odin recognizes it. You should see “0:[COM#]” fill in the first box.
- Click “PDA” and select “SPH-D700-FC09-8Gb-REL.tar.md5″
- Click “PIT” and select “victory_8G_100528.pit”
- Click “Start”
- After it is finished, the Epic 4G will reboot and it will be running FC09 Android 2.3.6. Congratulations!
sorry but wtf the jumbofiles.com service is which u used to provide the download link for stock FC09 ROM, when I choose the regular download options it keeps on downloading one exe file from download-online-videos.com, pls provide some alternative link
That is the right link… when you click it, click on the ‘Downlaod File’ above where i t says ‘SPH-D700-FC09…’, then the very small Download button… Dont click the Download button from the countdown…

while the files are downloading it hangs is factory.rfs then the screen changes to a solid color. I’ve done it several times, the blues download bar get’s about half way and then it just turns into a solid screen on my phone….HELP!!!!

Thanks for the article, but perhaps something has changed since–I’ve tried it twice with the same failed result. Back to google…
argh, can’t edit or delete.
Problem found: when running Odin (currently 1.87), be sure to right-click and select “run as administrator”. Doing that, I was able to flash back to stock successfully.
Apologies for not trying this prior to posting, but in the event anybody else stumbles in here and finds the instructions don’t work for them, maybe this will help you too.
tried to Download and extract Odin3_v1.87.zip but keeps popping up on my cpu 404 – file or directory not found. Can someone possibley send me the file to my email so i can download it. Much appreciated Email pokesmotking42011@gmail.com
