Google’s Redesigning the Play Store for Jelly Bean?
Filed under Rumors by Kenneth Pennington on June 25, 2012 at 5:16 PMA new post from our Italian friends over at HD Blog has exposed a potential screenshot of a revamped version of the Google Play Store for Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. As seen above, the new Play Store will throw out the grid design for a list-oriented one. A resizable featured bar allows users to see the cream of the crop— some of the best applications on the platform. Underneath, the new Play Store focuses on “What’s Hot.”
The most noticeable change from the last version may be the bar at the bottom of the Store. It allows users to switch between the movies, music, Android, and books stores. The purple icon on the right may allow users to switch their accounts. Alternatively, it could be a new store for magazines.
So, is this shot real? The folks at HD Blog pointed out the color difference on the bottom bar. But, it almost looks too convincing not to be real. On the other hand, it’s a bit of a surprise that Google removed the Viewpager element from the Store. That could be a sign that this thing’s a fake. Only time will tell. Google I/O starts in two days!
