Google Now Headed To Chrome Browser?

As Google continues to unify many of its product lines, it looks like the company is getting ready to put Google Now into its popular Chrome browser. A Google+ user spotted code being merged into the Chromium project that is “creating a skeleton for Google Now for Chrome implementation.” That doesn’t mean that the launch of Google Now for Chrome is near though, in fact I’d say we’re a long way from any official release.

How exactly Google Now will fit into a browser remains to be seen. It could be useful to quickly see sports scores, weather, and more, but many of the travel features would be worthless.

What do you think? Do you see Google ever launching Google Now for Chrome?
