Google Now Activating One Million Android Devices Per Day

Lost in all of the hardware and software announcements from Google I/O are some new Android statistics. During Google’s keynote today, Hugo Barra announced that Google is now activating one million Android devices every day. Last month, Google said it was activating 900,000 devices a day. He also told us that the company has activated 400 million total Android devices. Last year at I/O, Google announced it had activated 100 million Android devices total.
This is outstanding growth for the Android platform and we don’t expect it to slow down at all.
