Google Nexus S Pictures & Specifications

Google Nexus S Best Buy

The Google Nexus S has arrived. Today, internal Best Buy documents and accidental pictures of the device revealed the Google Nexus S’ fine features. It looks similar to a Verizon Fascinate mixed with a T-Mobile Vibrant and Galaxy S GT-I9000. Google’s next phone features a four inch Super AMOLED display, just like its little brothers in the Galaxy S line. Earlier, it was revealed to have a 1.2 GHz processor and a slimmer design.

Today, a Best Buy advertisement online accidentally displayed the phone running its fully stock Android 2.3 experience. Then, Engadget caught a filing for the Samsung GT-I9020 on the FCC online database. Later, various pictures of the Google Nexus S were leaked from an employee’s Picasa album. They can be viewed below in the gallery.

In the pictures from Best Buy, the device looks to be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread exactly how we saw it earlier: dark notification bar, green icons aplenty. Android 2.3 is scheduled for a general release to Google Nexus One users in the coming days. Meanwhile, AndroidCommunity was able to grab a screenshot of a Best Buy computer that claimed mock displays for the Nexus S will arrive in three days on November 14th (see below).

Last of all, Phandroid leaked a juicy picture revealing some early specifications, which are listed below. Oh yeah, and there was a little bit of controversy surrounding the potentially Photoshopped “Google” branding on one of the Engadget pictures below.

We’re pretty sure this phone will be called the Nexus S, but there is still a chance that we’re actually looking at a “Nexus Two.” The Korean in the pictures from the gallery says: “Nexus 2″ on the box.
