A creative University of Washington Applied Computational Math Sciences student has focused his innovative energy on creating a simple, yet useful, accessory for the latest Android smartphones. After frustrating experiences with smartphone touch controls in games, Ryan French engineered a clip that allows users to easily connect their Sony PlayStation DualShock3 controllers to Android devices. Utilizing the Sixaxis Controller application ($1.99 on Google Play), French’s GameKlip allows users to play games with a fully-fledged console controller.

The GameKlip is made of ABS plastic which easily snaps to your controller and smartphone. Each clip is laser cut, specially designed for the individual device’s size.  Does this thing work? Check out the video of French playing Grand Theft Auto below and see for yourself.
