Five Ways To Get More Out Of Your Smartphone

If all you’re doing with your smartphone is talking on it, you’re missing the purpose. Smartphones are a great way to stay hyperconnected, in your personal life and in your business life. They are also full of some fun entertainment that you might be missing out on.

Watch Your Money

You can use your phone to keep track of your money, whether it’s in the bank, in Paypal or you need alerts on your credit score. Smartphones have made it so much easier to do banking in general. In fact, your smartphone could keep you from needing to drive to the bank as often.

If you have an app from your bank or credit union it’s likely they have a system for depositing checks using your phone (usually requiring you to snap a photo of the personal or business check). You can also use your banking apps to transfer money from one account to another and to get alerts when a deposit has cleared.

Promote Your Business

People love texting. They love it so much that there are people out there that prefer texting over talking on their smartphones. As a business, you should take advantage of that.

Have it so that your customers can sign up for text blasts that include first notifications on new sales or even coupons (include online coupon codes in case they prefer to shop online or directly through their phone).

Stay Social

Social media through your phone is a great way to stay social no matter where you are, and you can use it for personal stuff or for business. Some social media works best with your smartphone, and not your laptop, like Snapchat and Instagram. Some social media is a must for your business phone, like Twitter and Facebook.

Have Some Fun

If you want to have some fun on your phone you’re going to want to download some games. There are games you can play on your own and there are games you can play with your friends. Match three games, building and adventure games, and even trivia games are all a touch away with your smartphone.

If you want to have fun with friends, consider a popular game like Words With Friends (it’s like Scrabble). It’s fun and some that educational. Just don’t let your games distract you from getting your work done.

Get Where You Need To Go

Your smartphone can also be used to get you where you need to go. It makes it so you don’t have a need for a separate GPS system. You can even use it when you’re walking or bicycling. You can also directly connect with businesses you Google, whether it’s to call them or map them.
