Our sources have come through once again, this time with more images of the SPH-L300 and some information about the device. The SPH-L300 will be known as the Samsung Gogh, and launch on the Now Network in the very near future. It does support Sprint’s new 4G LTE. As we reported before, the device does come equipped with the very powerful dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm MSM8960 S4 processor. It also has a 4″ WVGA Super AMOLED Plus display, a 5MP camera, 1GB of RAM, and Android 4.0.4.
The Gogh has a dedicated camera button and NFC capabilities. As you can see in one of the photos, it does come pre-installed with Google Wallet. It is smaller (and a tad thicker) than the pictured One X. Our source does say that the “metal” finish we were hoping for isn’t there. It’s just brushed plastic. The device does still looks eerily similar to the Nexus One, and it lacks a capacitive search button.
We applaud Samsung’s efforts to bring a mid-range device to the market with some very nice specs, especially considering that the S4 processor is also in their flagship device. No price point or exact date has been set or even rumored, but we do know that the device will be announced very soon. Take a look at the gallery below for all the new photos of the device.
