    Tyvm

  2. Timothy Staiano says:

With “wipe data” do you mean a factory reset-type (through CWM)?

    • Yes. Beta 1 and later will do it for you.

      • Timothy Staiano says:

Any list of working/not working items yet? This is based upon US (AT&T) 4.1.57, right?

        • No. Based on 4.5.91. :)

Everything is working. Webtop is untested, though.

          • juniorsgv says:

so basically over can’t be more than 1000 of those ugly things sold. that the rest of us don’t have gb on our supposedly one of first to get gb on atrix remarks.

          • Sergio Nayar says:

Hey Ken, first of all thank you!

Does it have Fingerprint functionality built in?

Is this release more close to what the final OTA ROM would be or is it closer to HKTW?

            Thanks again!!!

  3. s1mpd1ddy says:

if we just flash the radio and theres issues…. how do we flash back to the original radio?

  4. juniorsgv says:

nice! but i’ll pass. the xda posts on early releases of this have been mixed. i’d at least like my phone to still perform to same standard it does now.

  5. Guilherme Mello says:

    AT&T only? ._.

  6. XCellFoneSalesRep says:

    beta 3 already?!?!?!

  7. Tomerbn says:

Not pre-rooted? Titanium fails to get root access

  8. Hermes Romero says:

it’s mandatory flash the GingerBread Radio?

  9. Guest says:

definitely not risking this, way too complicated for just upgrading to “official” GB…besides, the OTA should be coming any day now. i’m impatient too, but if i flashed this then i’ll still end up reverting right back for the OTA regardless. maybe i’m a n00b, but if GB unlocks the bootloader and everything WITHOUT voiding the warranty, then it’s just plain not worth it to eff around with the thing with the update so imminent.

    • JayRolla says:

Unlocking bootloader voids warranty no madder what.

      • Guest says:

well moto said they’re going to be releasing updates “in late 2011″ that unlock the bootloaders on their phones..as far as i remember. or was it “enable unlocking the bootloader”? you may be right..idk

  10. Hermes Romero says:

I can’t root it!!!, Gingerbreak, SuperONEClick, ADB FastBoot tree metods and nothing :(

  11. Sushant says:

the phone i stuck on the boot screen how long after the installation should i have to wait for the phone to start working?

    • Fkoekfoe says:

Is your phone in bootloop? or is it just stuck on the bootscreen? do you get a flashing red LED?

  12. Fezzyness says:

i wouldnt recommend this, it bricked my atrix and i followed the instructions, all my phone does now is show me my old gingerblur booting screen and turn off and then turn on again showing the gingerblur screen…. gonna have to try and unbrick it

  13. Sergio Nayar says:

    Thanks Ken!!!

Is this ROM closer to an OTA Gingerbread or HKTW ROM currently out there?

Also, is the finger print sensor working on this release?

  14. Seth Keppel says:

Im stuck at the dual core technology screen after installing over 2.3.4 HTKW… can anyone help me?

  15. Dave says:

I just flashed it after losing 3g data connectivity on the HKTW ROM. This one seems to work fine… and a higher Antutu benchmark score! (4566)

  16. D$G says:

For those of you who seem to be stuck on the dual core technology screen boot screen after flashing this. What worked for me was to fastboot back to HKTW following these steps http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1139715  now the question is how to apply this ROM??

  17. D$G says:

If anyone is having any problems, MAKE SURE CWM IS UP-TO-DATE because that was the issue for me with this GB.

    • Ricky says:

Cant use the latest CVM either. As far as I am concerned , if you open the ZIP, there is another within it an another within it, — tried some of the latest builds with same results. What could be wrong.

  18. Heard that if we upgrade from 2.2 to 2.3 and if internet disconnects in between then it would nor be 2.2 or 2.3.
    is this true?

  19. Atrx4G4Life says:

Works for me.. but gets phone HOT!!

  20. Danielvvieira says:

is this only for at&t version!?

  21. Thatkidstevo says:

Worked fine for me. I applied the latest cwm, flashed it on the device with fastboot, and installed the zip via the cwm recovery. I did the back up and everything before hand. Works great for me! Fantastic ROM. So far, there doesn’t seem to be any issues. The battery life is worse, but im guessing that’s due to dual core optimization?

  22. How do you flash radio via ZIP file? Can I use CWM for that?

  23. Bunna says:

Should just wait A FEW WEEKS MORE for the final release. better than spoil the phone with unstable betas

  24. Xisde says:

APN Does not work for me

  25. Jb0502m says:

Hi, I have gingerblur installed on mine. Can I just follow these steps if I want this new gingerbread of do I have to take extra steps before because I’m running the gingerbread rom?

  26. How does the radio install?

  27. evan cameron says:

i get an error from CWM saying it can’t open the zip. updated to latest version of CWM

  28. Vpatel1996 says:

make sure you have the lastest CWM here is the link for it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1138541 i used the old one and was stuck at a bootloop

  29. Cleon S, says:

BEST! THANK GOD FOR THIS BUILD

  30. Bawood says:

Okay, I did all the steps. Now how do I install gingerbread from the SD card? Through the phone or fastboot?

    • Vpatel1996 says:

with CWM install that on your phone through cmd on windows make sure you use the newest one from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1138541

  31. Ggctronics says:

Simple question …I’m running  Gingerblur 4.5 , after install gingerbread 2.3.4 I’m going to loose all the features like webtop and hdmi mirroring..? if is that the case how can I get those features  back….?

  32. Sergio Nayar says:

A bit confused here. According the instructions above it says that this Gingerbread 4.5.91 can be flashed with CWM and on XDA it says that it has to be flashed through Moto-Fastboot commands. I tried both and all fails. Well I could flash Boot and System images through Moto-Fastboot but the rest just fails with the writing data failed remote 00030003 error and CWM simply does not budge.

How have you guys flashed this ROM?

    THANKS!

    • Vpatel1996 says:

use CWM from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1138541 the newest one moto-fastboot is for the older gingerbread

      • Sergio Nayar says:

Thanks Vpatel1996, but that was the one I tried already but failed to flash I guess because it contains .img files which as far as I know are not flashable through CWM (correct me if I’m wrong).

        • Sergio Nayar says:

What I meant to say is that I think I’m not able to flash trough the latest CWM because the Stock 400+ MB Gingerbread Image download above only has the .img files and it’s missing the rest of the files needed in order to work (Meta-Inf, System, etc for example)

  33. juniorsgv says:

so am i missing something here? i was told by others if i was stock i wouldn’t need to do pre-requisites to installing gb. just download update.zip and then place on external sd and start phone in recovery. where i get stuck each time when trying to install update.zip. was i told wrong? by two diff people? (gingerblur instructions were so much easier, previous phone btw. not same one) im stock pure att.

  34. Is this version also blowing the fuse in the /sys/firmware/fuse/ReservedOdm ?

I’ve applied this and from now on I can’t downgrade (not that I want to) with the risk of my phone gets perma-brick so think twice before you apply this… is a hell of an improvement for the Atrix but as everything else in the world have a price…

Never ever consider use RSD to flash system or boot stuff… use fastboot instead and very, but very cautionsly…

  35. Sheharyar Ali says:

Anyone know if this is restricted to ATT only? Im on another provider, would it work? Thanks

  36. Gregor says:

Can sombody tell me if the Atrix with the Android 2.3.4. update will not have anny more problems with VOIP software and you can make easy VOIP phone calls. Because in the old situation neither VOIP or Skype works on Motorola Atrix!

  37. Info says:

I have a weird issue. My Phone is running smoothly. But when I connect it to the charger it indicates it is charging. But the top Led is off, and there is no progress. However when it is fully drained and shuts down, it then boots into this mode where you can just see this battery. Then it is able to charge to a 100%. Does this make sense?

  38. Delacruzj48 says:

i cant delete the  install_recovery.sh in my system/etc i used root explorer and a bunch of other apps..help?

  39. Hakatit says:

KP, Would you mind providing md5′s on these? With a zip we shouldn’t need to worry but a corrupt file can cause a lot of headache. Thanks.

  40. Daneroner says:

Can somebody make step by step video? Thanks in advance.

  41. Andesm90 says:

great! it works fine , no problems. has anyone install the gingerbread radio and the stock images?

  42. FFno says:

    Can somebody help on this:
     - I’ve successfully booted into new ROM but touchscreen is not working.
     - The only responsive button is the power button, no other input is responding…

    Thanks in advance.

    • iceberg020 says:

I jst put on the rom last night and it worked jst fine. but I followed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1167373.
flash the rom again and see if that works.

      • FFno says:

I followed the instructions a couple of times and still I get the touchsreen frozen.
I can install and correctly run other ROMs….
I wonder if there is something missing from my device?

  43. Popo says:

OMG it actually works! im on gingerbread now teehee!

  44. Popo says:

I successfully updated my atrix to 2.3.4 problem is it can’t detect my internal phone storage and sd card please help!

  45. Rick says:

What is the Radio for?, ho to install it?

  46. Simsnet71 says:

i must be doing something wrong i have an unlocked bootloader, cwm, rooted and have flashed this 3 times and the first time the phone just kept playing the motorola boot animation over and over and over than the other 2 times the phone just froze at the dual core screen and did nothing? Any advise for a newby like myself?

  47. Derek Paschal says:

does anyone know if there are any other custom roms built on 2.3.4 besides this one?
edit: and how do I get webtop?

  48. Rick says:

What would you need the stock images for?? (those for download at the bottom of the page?

  49. David Alvarez says:

Hello every one. I had the “stuck in moto screen” then I went to re-flash new CWM but entering fastboot mode the phone says: “batery too low to flash”. I don’t have another battery and cant load the rom to charge it. Am I lost? do you guys know if the battery will charge if I leave the phone plugged in?

    Thanks in advanced.

    • David Alvarez says:

Finally, I took the battery out and let it rest to see if it could “regain” some energy. Then I had just enough to install the ROM and now I’m enjoying GB. Man, that was close!

      Thanks for the instructions! Kennneth!

  50. Robert L Kelly says:

Ok now that the official rom is out can I flash directly to it from this.

  51. Adam Hendryx says:

I just received the OTA update from motorola and it shows android 2.3.4 software version. I noticed that my motorola helper updated on my computer so I checked my phone to see if an update was available and it downloaded the new version

  52. Gk Seto says:

Installed and works perfectly except the no more free tethering and google has blocked me from viewing movies from their app store. Any suggestions??? Love the os, but these are major issues.

    • Slackhaus says:

If your still rooted then no movies.

I do hear that there is a patched market app out there for movies on rooted phones.

  53. Peter Black says:

who is goliath and why did he mess with the download site?

  54. anonymous poster says:

Links are all bad now. I only get 640 bytes of whitespace.
