A developer on XDA-Developers’ forum has created a set of AGPS patches that will utilize alternate servers and improve GPS functionality worldwide. For many international users, a faulty AGPS configuration can really add on to GPS lock times. A correct configuration can cut times down to their minimums, allowing you to navigate or locate faster.

The patch requires root access. But there are a number of pre-configured packages for a plethora of different devices. Check out the list below to see if your device can be patched.

It works really well on the Skyrocket. I know a lot of people gave really great feedback, and haven’t heard more than a few people say, “this borked my GPS!”

    TL;DR This. Is. Awesome.

And that’s good to hear. GPS locking on the Sprint GSII is atrocious (love that word) =p
