Chrome Coming to iPhone and iPad Today

Filed under News by Chance Miller on June 28, 2012 at 1:31 PM

Just a few minutes ago at I/O, Google announced that Chrome is coming to the iPad and iPhone. It will support all of the same features as the Android and desktop versions, such as syncing between devices and an incognito mode. The browser does presumably use Apple’s WebKit engine under the hood, as it is required by Apple’s terms.

Google also announced that there are over 310 million active Chrome users, which is up from 160 million at last year’s Google I/O.

Chrome for iPad and iPhone will be released to the App Store later today for free.
