HTC One X (AT&T) - Deodexed
Now that the HTC One X has seen its root treatment, us AT&T users with locked bootloaders will want to start flashing custom modifications and ROMs. This tool, downloadable below, allows users to flash a deodexed “app” and “framework” folder to any rooted AT&T One X. You must have rooted your device using the “one click” root tool from this page. Otherwise, you must install Busybox (search in Google Play) before using this deodex tool.
There’s a version for those who want AT&T bloatware removed as well as one for those who want the whole shabang installed. Simply download the files onto a Windows computer, extract, and press “run.bat.” Read all of the warnings below and have fun!
Warnings: this tool may lead to soft bricks, which can be restored via the RUU stock file. I’ve only tested this tool once or twice on my AT&T One X. There are no guarantees here. It’s imperative that you do not unplug your device or mess with it during installation. You’ll need USB debugging enabled and your phone’s screen turned off during the installation.
Follow BriefMobile on Twitter for more One X tools, modifications, and ROMs!
- Root your device using the one click tool.
- Busybox must be installed for the deodex tool to work. The “One Click” root does that for you.
- Download your deodex tool package.
- Unzip the package.
- Plug your device into your computer.
- Enable USB debugging.
- Click on the run.bat file
