AT&T’s come out with their fourth quarter results today. And, not to be outdone by fellow competitor Verizon, they’re reporting 9.4 million smartphones sold in the fourth quarter. 7.6 million of those devices were iPhones, including the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 as well as the newer one. That means we’re looking at fewer than 1.8 million Android sales— likely far fewer given the impacts of Windows Phone and BlackBerry devices.
Verizon, AT&T’s top competitor sold 2.4 million Android phones in the fourth quarter, showing there’s still a large gap between iOS customers on AT&T and Android customers on Verizon.
AT&T clocked in a $32.5 billion revenue in the fourth quarter, with a 3.6% increase in sales over the quarter.
