Apple has announced that it will hold its 2012 third quarter earnings call on July 24th at 2PM PDT. The call will be streamed live on Apple.com, as usual. CFO Peter Oppenheimer will probably handle finance-related announcements, while Tim Cook will hop in for other news. Rumors are that Apple will be releasing OSX Mountain on July 25th, so it’s possible that Mr. Cook will officially announce that during the call.
Anyone have any predictions? I think Apple will announce that it has sold a lot of iPhones. And Macs. And iPads. Anyone else?

Only Apple would host a major press conference to announce their earnings…
It’s not a “major” press conference. It’s a conference call. Every company holds them. Google, Microsoft, HTC, etc.
The CEO jumping in to announce “news”… imma consider that a Press Conference.
But it’s being held over the phone. It’s not like Apple is holding it at the Moscone Center.
Meh. If you’re going to stream a phone call over your front page, that’s pretty fancy for just releasing earnings reports.
