Android KitKat has been a hot topic lately, but a lot of devices still haven’t received the Android 4.3 update yet. The French carrier SFR have released a chart showing a timetable for the update, and it includes a number of popular Android devices.
SFR’s roadmap shows the Android 4.3 update coming in for the Galaxy S III, Galaxy S4, and Galaxy Note II. The newest device, the Galaxy S4, is set to receive the 4.3 update first in October with the Galaxy S III and Note II will get it a little later in November or December. The HTC One is hanging right in there with the S4 with the Android 4.3 update expected to arrive sometime in October. Last but not least, we’ve got the Nokia Lumia 520 which will receive the GDR 2/Amber update in October as well. The Samsung devices will get the update OTA or via Kias while the HTC One and Lumia 520 will get OTA updates.
While the Android 4.3 update isn’t a big deal to folks looking to get ahold of 4.4 KitKat, it’s long overdue for a lot of folks and will surely be a welcome upgrade from their previous version of Android. The rollout’s will vary by carrier and country, but the roadmap shows things are set for go sooner than later.
