Kindle Fire

XDA-Developers forum member Hashcode has successfully ported Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to the Kindle Fire.  Unfortunately, the port does have a couple of problems that you can read about here.  The Kindle Fire currently runs Gingerbread 2.3 and is only able to download apps from the Amazon Appstore.  With the Jelly Bean port, the device will be able to access the 600,000 plus apps in the Google Play marketplace. Hashcode is currently working on the known issues with the port and will hopefully have a solution soon.  In the mean time, check out the video below of the Kindle Fire running Jelly Bean.
